Job Description
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising construction activities at the site, ensuring work is executed according to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety norms within the planned schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities at the site
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings and technical specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site supervisors
- Monitor work progress and report to the Project Manager
- Ensure quality control and compliance with construction standards
- Manage site materials, tools, and manpower efficiently
- Take site measurements and assist in billing and quantity calculations
- Maintain daily site reports, progress reports, and documentation
- Enforce safety rules and ensure proper use of safety equipment
- Identify site issues and provide technical solutions
- Coordinate with consultants and inspectors during site visits
- Ensure compliance with statutory and local authority requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering (or relevant discipline)
- 3–10 years of experience in construction projects
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOQs
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD (preferred)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
